Actress, Singer, Director and ...Woman of a certain age

Hi! I'm Dianne. I started my professional career in Lancaster, PA when a professional dinner theatre opened in my hometown while I was in college. That was a few minutes ago!

I've worn many hats since then, actress, mother, business owner, marketer, teacher, arts administrator, director... but I'm still most at home on the stage or screen. These days you can find me on the road as a working actress. I'm happy to travel where ever there's a stage & audience, working with or independently of my husband Rob Summers (

Dianne recently appeared as:

Irene in "Slow Food"

Ensemble Stage

Banner Elk, NC

Della in "The Cake" at Theatre Conspiracy,

Alliance for the Arts

Ft Myers, FL

"Dianne has a very unique outlook as a performer that is selfless and (she) will do anything to entertain her audiences,  She captures the heart of all of her characters which brings her audience along for the ride.  She is very professional as she has been in both the performer and the leader role as a teacher/director, and understands how to relate to the performers from a better perspective".

Denise Trupe, National Marketing Director

Prather Entertainment Group

Have I Got A Girl For You (Skin Deep):

"Maureen Mulligan, played with disarming accuracy by Dianne Fussaro...(is) a nervous mass of defenses and put downs... Fussaro is every woman who's resorted to the tub of ice cream in the freezer as emotional therapy".

Marakay Rogers, Broadway World

Second Chances, the Thrift Shop Musical;

"Dianne is Janet, a recent widow who volunteers at the thrift shop to avoid loneliness.  I'm not going to spoil what happens, but (Fussaro and Summers) have a sweet and gentle chemistry".

Jane Holihan, Lancaster Online
